Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable General Ledger Accounting Technician to join our finance team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end closings, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls related to the General Ledger (GL).
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily GL transactions, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Maintain and review general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and assist in resolving variances.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports, working closely with senior accountants and finance managers.

Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory standards.

Coordinate with other departments to collect, verify, and post financial data as needed.

Provide documentation and support during audits and financial reviews.

Suggest improvements to GL procedures and help implement best practices in financial operations.
Qualifications & Skills:

Associate’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

2+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on GL support or bookkeeping.

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and time management.

Knowledge of standard accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).

Ability to work collaboratively within a finance team and across departments.
