Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on protecting critical industrial control systems (ICS) and OT environments from cyber threats. You will work closely with IT and engineering teams to implement cybersecurity measures that safeguard operational assets and ensure uninterrupted industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, design, and implement cybersecurity solutions specifically tailored for OT environments such as SCADA, DCS, and PLC systems.

  • Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents within OT networks.

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis for OT infrastructure.

  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for OT systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity into operational processes.

  • Perform security audits and compliance checks against industry standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST).

  • Stay up to date with emerging threats and technologies in the OT cybersecurity space.

  • Provide training and awareness programs to operational staff on cybersecurity risks and mitigation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity, preferably in OT/ICS environments.

  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems, protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC), and network architecture.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards relevant to OT (IEC 62443, NIST, ISA/IEC 62443).

  • Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection in OT contexts.

  • Ability to analyze network traffic and detect anomalies or intrusions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GICSP, or related OT cybersecurity credentials.

  • Experience with industrial protocols and automation systems.

  • Familiarity with cloud security and IT-OT convergence challenges.

  • Knowledge of incident response and disaster recovery planning for OT environments.
