This mission forms a key component of Outcome 1, dedicated to enhancing and reforming the business environment in Libya. Building upon the foundations laid by the previous EU4PSL project, Expertise France worked in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the General Union of Libyan Chambers of Commerce to address the challenges faced by the Libyan business sector. Together, they developed and published the comprehensive “Reforms Guide to Improving the Business Environment in Libya,” which identifies and prioritizes the top 20 critical reforms necessary to foster a more conducive, transparent, and efficient business landscape.
The guide serves as both a strategic roadmap and practical toolkit aimed at streamlining regulatory frameworks, reducing administrative burdens, improving market access, and promoting sustainable economic growth in Libya. This ongoing mission involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector representatives, and international partners, to support the implementation of these reforms.
Through this role, you will contribute to driving meaningful policy changes, improving institutional capacities, and creating a more favorable environment for investment and entrepreneurship. The mission not only aims to stimulate economic development but also to strengthen the overall governance and competitiveness of Libya’s business ecosystem.
