As a Zakat & Tax Compliance Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the organization meets all regulatory obligations related to Zakat and income tax in accordance with local laws and international best practices. You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing accurate Zakat and tax returns, managing assessments, and advising on compliance strategies to minimize risk and optimize tax efficiency.
This role requires a deep understanding of regional Zakat regulations (such as those in Saudi Arabia or GCC countries), as well as corporate income tax laws. You will serve as the subject matter expert, liaising with tax authorities, external auditors, and internal stakeholders to address inquiries, support audits, and implement tax planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and file Zakat and income tax returns in compliance with local regulations

Ensure timely payment of Zakat and taxes, avoiding penalties or discrepancies

Interpret and apply tax laws to business activities, transactions, and contracts

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Zakat, VAT, and corporate tax frameworks

Liaise with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) or other tax bodies

Support internal and external audits and manage related documentation

Advise on tax implications of business decisions and regulatory changes

Identify opportunities for tax efficiency and compliance improvements
Ideal candidates possess strong analytical skills, up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation in the Middle East, and experience working within corporate finance or accounting teams. A background in tax advisory, public accounting, or regulatory compliance is highly beneficial.
