The Piping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day installation, inspection, and testing of piping systems on construction or industrial sites. The role ensures all activities comply with engineering designs, project specifications, safety standards, and schedules. The Piping Supervisor acts as a key liaison between the site crew, project engineers, and management to deliver efficient and high-quality piping works.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the fabrication, installation, and testing of piping systems in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project deadlines.
Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and piping crews to optimize productivity.
Review and interpret piping layouts, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and material take-offs.
Monitor materials availability and ensure proper handling, storage, and installation practices.
Conduct inspections and tests (e.g., hydrostatic, pneumatic) to validate system integrity and report non-conformities.
Maintain accurate site records including work progress, materials used, and workforce allocation.
Liaise with quality control and engineering teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
Ensure that all personnel are trained in site safety and work methods.
Assist in the development of work schedules and manpower plans.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in piping supervision within oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of ASME codes, ANSI standards, and piping materials.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting construction documents.
Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
HSE awareness and a proven record of enforcing site safety practices.
