As part of our ongoing commitment in Libya, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced National Consultant to join the Youth Programme within the Education Section. This six-month remote consultancy offers a unique opportunity for Libyan nationals to contribute directly to the design, implementation, and monitoring of youth-focused education initiatives that aim to empower young people across the country.
The consultant will play a pivotal role in supporting UNICEF’s efforts to improve educational outcomes and increase youth participation in development processes. This includes working closely with UNICEF’s education team, local partners, and stakeholders to develop innovative strategies that address barriers to education and promote inclusive, quality learning opportunities for youth.
Key responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, facilitating stakeholder consultations, drafting technical reports, and providing expert advice on youth engagement strategies. The consultant will also support monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure that program goals are met effectively and that interventions are adapted based on emerging data and feedback.
This role requires a deep understanding of Libya’s socio-political context, youth development challenges, and education sector dynamics. The consultant must be able to work independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with UNICEF teams and partners.
