Rixos Baghdad is seeking a visionary and dynamic Director of People & Culture to lead all facets of human resources strategy and execution. This role is instrumental in cultivating a thriving workplace culture, fostering employee engagement, and driving organizational performance in alignment with the Rixos brand standards and values.
As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will champion talent development, compliance, diversity, and a service-driven culture in one of the region’s premier luxury hospitality destinations.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the People & Culture (HR) department, including recruitment, training, performance management, compensation, and employee relations

Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with the hotel’s business objectives

Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture focused on employee satisfaction and guest excellence

Ensure compliance with local labor laws, hotel policies, and brand standards

Develop talent pipelines through succession planning and career pathing

Oversee onboarding, staff engagement programs, and continuous learning initiatives

Implement and monitor employee wellness and recognition programs

Advise managers on HR best practices, conflict resolution, and organizational change
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Minimum 8 years of progressive HR leadership experience in the hospitality sector

Proven ability to build and lead high-performing HR teams

In-depth knowledge of labor law, HR systems, and organizational development

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills

Experience working in a multicultural environment

Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
