Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Biometrics Field Service Engineer to support, maintain, and troubleshoot multifunction biometric systems in field environments. This position involves both technical and operational responsibilities, with a focus on delivering reliable biometric services and support to clients across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain biometric hardware and software systems (e.g., fingerprint, iris, facial recognition)

Perform diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting of biometric equipment and networks

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance

Provide user training and technical support to on-site personnel and end users

Coordinate with technical support teams and vendors for complex issue resolution

Maintain accurate service logs, reports, and inventory documentation

Ensure system security protocols are upheld and comply with organizational standards

Support deployment and integration of new biometric technologies and updates in the field
Qualifications & Experience:

Degree or diploma in Electronics, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related technical field

3–5 years of experience in field service engineering, preferably with biometrics or secure systems

Strong knowledge of biometric technologies, network troubleshooting, and system diagnostics

Hands-on experience with installation and support of hardware and software

Ability to work independently in diverse and sometimes challenging field environments

Strong problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication

Familiarity with secure IT environments, military systems, or government clients is a plus

Willingness to travel to remote sites as required
